Breaking Fast with a Nutrient Packed Breakfast

I say breakfast, but I’m not sure I can call it that when I’m eating at noon (I’ve been trying intermittent fasting, but more on that later!). But hey, breakfast food is breakfast food, no matter what time you eat it🤷🏼‍♀️ Whenever you choose to break your overnight fast (heh! Break-Fast!), it is important to do it with a meal that is going to keep you satisfied for the next few hours🙌🏼

This breakfast oatmeal bowl is an amazing option (it might be a little too fruit-heavy, but if too much fruit is your issue, you’ve got a pretty good meal ahead of you🍓🍌🍊). It has so many nutrients that help fuel my body post-workout and prepare me for the day ahead!

Oats —> Help lower cholesterol, and are a great source of carbohydrates (which you DO need, and are a great way to jumpstart your day☀️)

Almond milk —> Good source of vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant to fight against damage to our bodies cells caused by pollutants💨

Ground flax & hemp seeds —> Contain Omega-3 fatty acids, which support skin health, act as an anti-inflammatory, lower blood lipids, and help prevent blood clots💫

Fruits —> contain fiber, which helps keep you full and regular💩

Peanut butter —> Honestly, peanut butter isn’t all that great, especially the processed kind like I have here, but I ran out of almond butter so here we are🤷🏼‍♀️

Peppermint —> Helps to relax your digestive tract to relieve indigestion. If you ever find yourself bloated and uncomfortable, add some mint to your meal!🌿

The best part about this breakfast is that you can personalize it to your taste buds! Add other nuts and seeds, different berries, a dash of cocoa powder, or a slice of dark chocolate- whatever you want!

Happy Break-Fasting💞💞
